Antares is the brightest star in the constellation of Scorpius.It has the bayer designation a Scorpii.Often referred to as “the heart of the Scorpian”,Antares is flanked b Scorpii and T Scorpii  near the center of the constellation. Distinctly reddish when viewed with the naked eye,It is 700 times larger than our sun .It’s outer atmosphere would reach out far beyond Mars,Possibly even as far as Jupiter’s orbit. It’s also about 10,000 times more luminous than our sun
